Our Green Policy

We only use suppliers who are taking an active role in their approach to environmental issues. We work closely with them to ensure that the products we use on each Site are environmentally friendly as well as efficient and cost effective.

Ozone Friendly

• Where possible we will use a non aerosol product
• If we do use an aerosol then it will not have Chlorofluricarbon (CFC) propellants in but use Butane of which no ozone depletion claims can be attributed
• Where possible the products we use will display the "Ozone Friendly" logo

Biodegradable Products

• We will use biodegradable Alcohol Ethoxylates instead of a non-ionic surfactant - Alkyl Phenol Ethoxylate (APEOs)

Recycling

• All the paper goods we use contain a high percentage of recycled paper
• We order products in larger quantities and refill smaller bottles therefore emphasising our recycling commitment and cutting down on unnecessary packaging

Water Quality

• Where possible we will avoid Phosphate Alkali Builders and use "Phosphate Free" products

In general the companies we use have extensive aims to obtain cost effective, environmentally friendly and efficient chemical products. We feel this underlines the fact that we wish to safeguard the welfare of our environment and that of the user.
