Safe Contractor accreditation
Approved Spotless Cleaning Services have achieved accreditation
in the National Britannia Safe Contractor scheme. This involves
a yearly in-depth review of all our Health and Safety procedures
and policies including our Risk Assessments to ensure that we
meet current legislation in all areas of our cleaning operation.
Achieving accreditation in this nationally recognised scheme
also ensures that our staff are working in a safe environment.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1994 (as
amended). We, as a company, are deeply concerned with regard
to the Health and Safety of our staff, our customers and the
environment. Our company recommends the use of biodegradable
products. Data sheets covering the biodegradable products or
standard products will be displayed in the customer's premises,
and used for practical and educational purposes.

Electricity at Work Regulations
The 1989 Regulations make it a requirement that precautions be
taken against the risk of death or personal injury from electricity
in work activities. To ensure that a safe environment exists
for our customers and their staff, and staff members of Approved
Spotless Cleaning Services, our company safety precautions include
daily, weekly, monthly and six-monthly inspections of all electrical
equipment. All inspections are carried out in accordance with
the Regulations.

Staff Identification
All cleaning employees on location are provided with distinctive
protective company overalls designed to combine smartness with
practicability. On locations where Security Officers are provided
by the customer all employees are issued with identification
cards for safety and security reasons, these cards are issued
by the Security Of ficer on arrival at site. This accountability
procedure informs the Security Of ficer of the exact number of
cleaning personnel on location at all times. Should the above
not be practical, a register designed to be a formal record of
attendance and cleaning comrnents will be kept on each site.
The Supervisors will check this register daily and act upon any
comrnent therein.
